finally i have get back my foot in the reporting line…although nowadays my reporting area is no longer politics but i find it very interesting in covering more on regional issues..more issues that are the concern of our people..issues that are close to our public…being part of the mainstream paper is i can say is very different from working in alternative press…being a community paper like sin chew daily really need to take care of all kind of stuffs..stuffs that concern politics..stuffs that concern about public..stuffs that concern about business…imagined there are so many things that a community people need to take care of..seriously…this is not easy..to cover all the ‘flavours’ of the community..furthermore..as a community paper..we are not just giving people the ‘flavour’ that they preferred..but also..we need to make sure that the ‘flavour’ must be in good quality and can fit their ‘taste’ accordingly…not too hot..not too dull..hence..it is really not easy..and as the community paper..public always keep an eye on you..so there is always a certain level of pressure that is always coming towards you…

thanks for everyone who had prayed for me and special thanks to my supervisor and assistant supervisor from library who had allowed me to transfer to newsdesk and allowed me to fulfill my dream…really appreciated that mr loh who kept his word to allow me to transfer to newsdesk when they managed to hire someone for the job as data resource officer..also feel very grateful towards newsdesk supervisor..ms tai who had waited for quite some time in order to be able to be transferred to newsdesk..as well as i believe she did play a part in persuading her boss on keeping a place for me..seriously i really feel grateful and touch with the progress of this issue of mine now..and i feel fortunate that i have taken my dad’s advice that is to be patient, work hard and be rational..as sin chew is a good corporation where i can expand my career in journalism..somehow now i felt..well..it isn’t that bad to stay in library…although i don’t deny that several incidents had actually made me felt upset and disappointed but i can still manage to learn some skills there..although the post’s name as general clerk made me feel quite annoying but as in learning the process of selecting and categorizing news made me realised that it is not an easy task to fulfill the needs..so..i do really appreciate for what had been functioned as a library all these years..serving the editorial group..i would sincerely give them a big bow and clap to them for working so closely with the editorial in providing sufficient help in the process of publishing news…

i don’t know whether i have already given up for my transfer to newsdesk or i have basically aware that it will be a fact that i will be stucked in the current department that i have been working due to the lack of staffs here. or is it because that i feel pity towards my assistant supervisor who always trained up the staffs but finally resigned from the job when she had put in much effort to train the person in the job..or is it because she had been treating me very well that i feel reluctant to just leave her alone like that without helping her enough to repay her goodness to me..so many reasons that have come accross my mind as i thought of..according to my zodiac this year..it was supposed to be predicted that my change in career will have a very smooth process because i have got someone who is my lucky star will help me out for either promotion or change of job..but initially..as i can see now is that this prediction somehow have not come true…and sometimes i just felt so tired that..maybe i will just give up..that’s all..because life as a journalist is not that enjoyable as well..i admit that i really like the job as journalist and no doubt it is my dream job of the lifetime..but unfortunately what i have wanted is not easy to achieve..furthermore with the pressure from family..it forced me to consider many factors before making any decision..some people use to say that younger days can afford to make mistakes and should be brave in trying all types of stuffs because you are still young and have chance to rectify it in future..but to me..i realised that sometimes some choices will strike us once in our lifetime and if we don’t take it now..we will be regretted..hence sometimes i made deep consideration before making a decision….therefore sometimes it makes people feel that i can’t make critical decision because i am slow in responding to their needs..

the global prices had been hiking non-stop..countries throughout the world are facing problems in various kind of necessities..poor people are sufferring due to the lack of money to purchase the necessities..while middle class people are now choosing their necessities..which they think might not be necessities…make choices and decisions…but the main thing here is…those stuffs that are in an increasing price are necessities like oil and rice..no matter how much money you plan to save but still people need to eat..no doubt..people still need to travel out to work and earn money…hence..this necessities are not just necessities..but they are essentials..for people to survive..how could people survive without oil and rice?governments throughout the nation is trying their very best to help on reducing the burden of the people..but at the same time..disputed issues have been a lot too…the general public have been voicing out their concerns through protests and demonstrations..can this scenario be improved?can the gobal society be able to overcome this global crisis?can governments change their own faith by performing well to resolve the crises..

normally i don’t blog my personal daily life here..but still decided to put it here cause just feel like blogging it over here..anyway..i have just returned from serai di lanjut at johor, it is a very nice place to relax and release pressure and tension…away from work and strangers..it is a nice place…the credit should also be given to the workers there who entertain us during our stay at lanjut resort..i dedicate my first sunrise to this beautiful place serai di lanjut and manage to capture the sunrise scenery…although it is not really that perfect but to me..everything in first time is always beautiful and nice..this is…for the first time after i have started working…since mkini..i really wish to be away from work and exjoy the moment here..the bus ride..the ocean breeze..the food..the scenery..and the people there..the workers there are courteous and funny..helpful..especially the manager of the resort..thank you very much indeed for providing me a plaster for my hurt toe due to the game called water polo which was conducted in the swimming pool…he is indeed a nice man…but seriously..it was really fun…going trips with a big group of people really enjoyed and the feeling just feel so good when you see familiar faces wishing you good morning…having breaskfast together..and then chit-chatting..seriously..if i am working as a journalist..honestly i might not be able to enjoy my time here because i miss the beat and scare that i miss something big..and i am not part of it..but with the current job of mine..i can actually let go everything and just be guest here at lanjut..the feeling is just awesome to let go everything which left behind…you will feel so free that time…aren’t you think is cool?..for pictures..if i manage to upload..will inform you guys over here

i don’t know if i spelled ‘ruckus’ this word correctly because i just saw this word for the first time in tv3 nightline news…apparrently parliament sessions will go on live in every 30 minutes and for the first time in history..opposition manage to ovewrite barisan nasional’s 2/3 majority which disabled them to draft and pass bills easily..at the meantime also increased the voice of opposition where they can have more say now cause more members are there to support them and most importantly there are more wise and intellingent parliamentarians in the opposition chamber…this kind of situation is actually a good scenario cause it symbolised that democracy is no doubt existed in malaysia…well…should i said it is like pathetic?i don’t know why..i just got the this feeling that for the first session of the debate..it actually ended up in some kind of quarel..or rather chaos….how could this have ever happened?should they supposed to be greeted as ‘yang berhormat’?and don’t they should be carrying themselves like ‘yang berhormat’?maybe the barisan nasional parliamentarians can be said as they have more experience in terms of attending parliament and since they have experience..should they be more well behave?rather than really join the quarel?while opposition parliamentarians..not that to say you guys are inexperience and don’t know the rules in the house..but seriously quarelling doesn’t appear much better in the image of you guys..and also affect the image of parliament as well..so..please make full use practically on the live telecast of the parliament session rather than quarelling…

another incident happened in perak…the opposition government lead state…one of the state assemblyman A. Siva suddenly announced its intention of resigning from the post of a DAP state assemblyman in which it happened a few months ago before election which occurred on our dear yb fong…but in yb fong’s case…that might a different situation….nevertheless for siva..we can see it was reportedly said that there is some misunderstanding going on…and that is why this incident occurred…however the tension was finally resolved cause it was merely a misunderstanding…but the point that i wished to share here is…this scenario had happened…will the people actually accept another few more times to allow incidents like this to happen…suddenly resigned and then within hours said retracted the remarks that they want to resign…this scenario as we can see is a kind of immaturity…which also contributed to the idea that he didn’t think reasonably…didn’t care about the big picture…which also reflected their disunity within the party…as a future government..as citizen of malaysia…we all hope that this incident will not be happening again…and hopefully the opposition can get the lesson and don’t repeat the mistake again because it will reflect badly on them of their reputation and image…

it had been almost a month after the election had over…as first time voter…i manage to leave a historical moment in the malaysian history…where for the first time…barisan nasional…the ruling coalition had finally failed to retain the 2/3 majority in the parliament…and this means the coalition will not be able to make amendments of acts and pass bills that easily with the presence of the members of the opposition party…also for the first time…the opposition had won the ruling power of 5 states which included kedah..perak…selangor…kelantan and penang…finally they are given a chance to prove themselves…finally they are no longer merely just opposition party but at least they are in the ruling position when it comes to these five states…they are not playing a critical role where they are not just merely criticising but they have to succeed in implementing their promises and fullfil the people’s wishes…provide better lives for the people as they have always vowed to do it…now they are given the chance…let’s see whether the state government of these states will manage to prove themselves that they really worth the vote…let’s examine it together…folksss….

finally the government had decided to arrest hindraf leaders under the internal security act in order to keep the country in a peace and harmony country…although election is getting near and the government trying to be nice to all the people…however…at last..the government still used ISA to detain the leaders for causing unrests and riots in the city which had resulted several road blocks particularly in a few main roads where people used to travel around town area…they were detained under ISA by the government is that the prime minister datuk seri abdullah ahmad badawi said that they have caused much worry among the people and they given no choice to the government but to put them in jail at kamunting using the act of ISA…from the beginning itself..hindraf leaders had always challenged the government to use ISA against them which is intend to prove to the people that the government will finally made the decision to detain them under ISA..and now the government had used it against them…hence…will people have a different perception about the government by seeing this incident as an example?what will happen in the coming general election?will this incident actually manage to reflect to the people about the meaning of freedom of expression?well…let’s open ours big and observe whether there is any changes…besides…the 31 indians who were detained and charged under the offece of attempted murder of a policemen on the demonstration held few weeks ago in batu caves and jalan ampang had their charges of attempted murder dropped due to lack of evidence of identifying who is the one who injured the policeman…and out of 31…5 indians who are college students were acquitted while others remained the existing charges which is among them are causing disturbance in the city…well…why am i saying all this?to me…the release and discharge of those indians who are involved actually meant to relieve the people by implying that…look…we have released and let go those who are innocent and those who are willing to apologise…haha…sounds funny?you determine it!!!!

if anyone is still reading this blog…thanks for your support and sorry for not posting any new articles cause i am really busy nowadays…talking about protests…we had the first one at merdeka square organised by bersih who protests for clean and clear elections…and then we have hindraf who protests to fight for the rights for indian people…alleging that the british government had intimidated the indians back from the years before independence…and then we have another protest organised again by the same society that is hindraf…which had alleged that the government had not given equal treatment to the indian people…not forgetting the bar council’s walk for justice…and the most recent demonstration…was organised by lawyers and ngos…marching peacefully from the sogo shopping complex until the bar council building…heading by human rights lawyer…latheefa koya and amer hamzah….why do all these sudden protests just poped out?because of election is getting near?because the country really needs a revolution?a new government?i don’t know…but there is one thing that we can see…excessive force had been used to hamper the people of all these groups…take for example the hindraf’s action on submitting the memorandum to the british high commissioner…those people were unarmed and what does the police force give them?just a few thousand of people or i can say not even up to 3 thousand of people…the police force were using stuff like water cannon and tear gas…while bersih’s rally where the total of people is amounting to almost million of people…and yet only water cannon was being used…while few thousand of hindraf supporters was being treated by tear gas and water cannon…not forgetting the current crackdown of police in front of the bar council…as there are banners were putting on the building itself on promoting the events that the bar council is holding…the police demanded that the banners were to be removed immediately…if not…action will be taken…to me…this incident just doesn’t make sense…what is the problem for bar council to hang the banner up on their own building?for promoting purposes?is it a crime?i just don’t get it…the bar council didn’t put their banners everywhere or other buildings that are not belong to them…to me…this scenario give me the impression that the police force is trying to be mischevious…or a harsher word…bitchy…as all these rallies…assemblies that are ongoing now…it is really unhealthy to our country and it will affect the country’s economy badly…so…the government please take the initiative to probe what is really going on…what had made these people dissatisfied….
